Student Showcase Sessions are specifically designed to highlight the innovative research being conducted by graduate students (full or part-time). This session provides a unique opportunity for emerging scholars to present their work to a panel of distinguished experts, gain valuable feedback, and compete for an exclusive mentoring opportunity.
We are excited to introduce the Judges of the Student Showcase Session being held on 2 July 2025 as part of the IPPA World Congress.

Professor Barbara L. Fredrickson (USA)
Barbara L. Fredrickson, Ph.D. earned her undergraduate degree from Carleton College and her doctorate from Stanford University. Professor Fredrickson is a leading scholar within social psychology, affective science (the study of emotion) and positive psychology.
Among the most highly cited scholars in psychology, Barbara Fredrickson is most known for her “broaden-and-build theory of positive emotions,” foundational within Positive Psychology for providing a blueprint for how pleasant emotional states, as fleeting as they are, contribute to resilience, wellbeing and health.
Professor Kaiping Peng (China)
Professor Kaiping Peng is currently the Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Chair of the Psychology Department at Tsinghua University. Since 2008, he has been the founding Chair of the Psychology Department of Tsinghua University, also directing the Happiness Technology Lab and the Tsinghua Berkeley Center for Psychological Studies. He has published eight books and more than 300 articles and essays on cultural and social psychology, as well as methodological issues of psychology. Professor Peng is one of the most cited Chinese psychologists in the world. His new book on positive psychology has been on the top ten best seller list on Amazon China.
