Prof Genevieve Dingle

Genevieve Dingle is a Professor in Clinical Psychology at the University of QLD where she convenes courses in psychopathology and psychotherapies. She researches the mental health effects of groups and communities, particularly arts-based groups such as choir singing. Genevieve led an Australian Research Council funded controlled evaluation of social prescribing to address loneliness and social isolation in community dwelling adults in Southeast QLD. Together with Dr Leah Sharman, she leads an evaluation of the Brisbane North Primary Health Network funded trial of social prescribing, and she is part of a consortium from University of QLD and ASPIRE that is evaluating the QLD statewide social prescribing trial for families and young people aged 0 – 18 years experiencing loneliness and social isolation. Genevieve is Chair of the Arts and Culture on Prescription panel of the Australian Social Prescribing Institute of Research and Education (ASPIRE).
