Prof Daniel Hernández-Torrano

Daniel Hernández-Torrano is a Professor of Educational Psychology at the Graduate School of Education, Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan. He teaches graduate courses in quantitative research methodology, educational psychology, and inclusive education. His research focuses on advancing the understanding and measuring of mental health and well-being in young populations, with particular attention to the affective and emotional dimensions of learning and the personal and contextual factors that shape positive mental health outcomes. His work bridges psychology, education, and public health, emphasizing the importance of building inclusive and supportive environments that prioritize the well-being of all learners. Through his work, Prof. Hernández-Torrano aspires to transform educational systems into catalysts for well-being, promoting resilience, growth, and thriving communities in Kazakhstan, Central Asia, and beyond.
